Benefits: Top salary, bonus, pension and healthcare
Overview: My client are looking for a Senior Electronic Engineer to join their fast-growing Pharmacy Automation team.
This is a hands-on hardware role at the heart of a diverse product portfolio spanning robotics, automated dispensing, vision systems, and pharmacy management platforms. You'll work across the full product lifecycle — from early-stage concept through to commercialisation — alongside mechanical, software, systems, and quality teams to bring complex electro-mechanical products to life.
What you'll be doing
- Owning end-to-end PCBA design: concept, schematic capture, component selection, layout support, bring-up, verification, and release to manufacturing
- Selecting and qualifying components for electrical performance, reliability, availability, lifecycle, and second-source strategy
- Debugging and verifying board designs using lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyser, power analysis)
- Designing for EMI compliance, safety, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA/DFT)
- Ensuring designs meet agency and regulatory requirements (UL, IEC, FDA, Machinery Regulation) throughout development
- Conducting failure analysis and root-cause investigation
- Writing design specs, test protocols, and test reports; leading technical design reviews
- Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical ownership within the team
- Managing calibration of lab electronic equipment
What you'll bring
- A Level 8 degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent proven experience)
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally within machinery or regulated equipment
- Strong analog, digital, and mixed-signal design knowledge
- Hands-on PCBA design experience for industrial or regulated products
- Proficiency with ECAD tools — Altium Designer preferred
- A bonus if you have experience with Machinery Regulation compliance, EMC testing, or formal requirements documentation
Why?
You'll be joining a growing, high-impact team with real scope to broaden your technical expertise, take on greater ownership, and shape products that make a tangible difference in healthcare delivery.
