Maintenance Technician (Electrical/Mechanical)
Shift: 8-hour shifts, 5/7 days – 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am

We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a leading healthcare organisation based in Dublin. This is an excellent position for an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to join a well-established organisation operating within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs and troubleshooting on automated electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot high-speed PLC-controlled, pneumatic, handling and packaging equipment.
- Equipment includes ASRS, printing/labelling systems, conveyors, lifting/de-stacking equipment, fridges/freezers and HVAC/building services.
- Troubleshoot using PLC programs, identify faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate and complete planned maintenance/PM schedules, reviewing and improving maintenance routines where required.
- Monitor line and machine performance, responding quickly to breakdowns or deterioration in performance to support production targets.
- Support new equipment installations, modifications and upgrades, working with equipment suppliers as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance system records, parts/stores transactions, breakdown records and shift handovers.
- Participate in training, cross-skilling, continuous improvement and achievement of maintenance KPIs.
Education and Experience:
- Qualified Electrician or relevant electrical/electro-mechanical qualification.
- Previous experience in an electrical/electro-mechanical maintenance environment.
- Experience working with automated equipment and fault-finding/troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment would be highly advantageous.
Desirable Experience:
- Pneumatic systems and controls.
- Siemens SIMATIC, sensors, scanners and Profibus.
- Refrigeration, freezer or cold-room equipment.
- Building services and facilities maintenance, including HVAC, pumps, burners and sprinkler systems.
- Maintenance management/CMMS systems.
- Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
