Biotech Application Specialist

This role has an excellent mix of technical and commercial, it will suit the biopharma specialist who is seeking a more customer-focussed role. Willingness to travel and full driving licence are essential. An excellent package exists for the successful candidate

Responsibilities:



  • Product and application support of the biopharmaceutical industry in the area of filtration technology

  • Development and optimization of existing and new filtration processes as well as strategies for overall process development in close cooperation with customers and sales organizations

  • Demonstration of products and equipment on the customer's premises

  • Tracking the market with regard to technical developments and the competitive situation in the assigned area

  • Planning and steering of projects, e.g., for launching new products on the market

  • Close cooperation and support of the Sales and Marketing, Product Management, R&D and Supply Chain Management units

  • Holding training seminars and presentations on the topics of filtration technology



Requirements:



  • BSc min, ideally MSc / PhD in biotechnology, biology, chemistry, chemical engineering or process engineering

  • Professional experience in process development in the biopharmaceutical industry

  • Professional experience in sales previous positions would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Pratice (GMP)

  • Technical understanding

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft® Office applications, especially PowerPoint

  • Fluency in business English, both written and spoken

  • Willing to travel extensively

  • Ability to work independently and systematically

  • Excellent communication skills and a team player who is highly service-oriented
